Faces, Love, Gratitude - and Then £500!

I just did a Heart Meditation - Taking in the Goodness. As I sat down and got really present, I was guided to focus on one person I care for and one who cares for me.
And then my mind went wild. It turned into a kind of picture wheel, showing me face after face after face. So many people in my life, all jumping in front of me like, “Yep, I love you and you love me!” Each one made my heart smile just a little bit wider. I have so many incredible people around me, such kind souls with such big hearts.
By the end of it, my heart was overspilling. Like properly. How I didn't float off then and there, I do not know! Better watch out if you cross my path today - you might get caught in the flood of love.

And then, just as I was still basking in that feeling, life threw in a little extra sparkle. I hit my first fundraising milestone of £500! That means I can now run three two-hour sessions to support up to 30 parents and carers of neurodivergent or traumatised children. (This is the half marathon one, in case you missed it. Yes, I am actually running. Yes, I am as surprised as you are. Still.)
As if that wasn’t enough, a friend also sent me a simple message about the fundraiser. Just a few kind words, directly to me with no big tamtam - but they landed so deeply.
I honestly can’t express this gratitude rushing through me. I’m pretty much floating through the world right now.
And this is exactly why I’m running, why I’m fundraising, why Jaskulla Mentoring even exists: because I know how much strength it takes to parent or care for children who carry trauma or whose brains work differently. No one should have to do it alone. If a few sessions can bring even a little more breathing space, a little more hope, then every mile (and blister) will be worth it.
If you’d like to add a little more fuel to this floating heart of mine (and help us reach more families), you can support the fundraiser here: donation link here. Every bit truly makes a difference. And if a donation is not possible, sharing this would be hugely appreciated as this also adds to making the difference.
